After nearly ten years as an educator within the Philadelphia public school and private school settings, I have witnessed dramatic changes within the society through the speech, attitudes, behaviors, and interactions of young children and teenagers.
This disturbing reality has made me dedicate myself to taking on responsibilities as a mentor, advisor, and counselor in various nonprofit organizations, and social awareness initiatives in order to reform a devastated social structure. As I am closing in on the latter stages of my career as a professional educator, I am (re)directing my focus, attention, and efforts towards (re)establishing the social structure that promotes a code of ethics, social responsibility, morals, values, “class”, etiquettes, and mannerisms in such a way that is both befitting and beneficial for those that desire to live in a much improved society. It is through this modern form of communicating that information, innovations, invitations, charity, and solutions are to be passed to support those efforts.

Very thought provoking words…are you speaking about a modern renaissance within Philadelphia? If so, how can this rebirth or redefining come to light?
Thank you for visiting the site and your inquiry. The answer to your first question is, yes a “modern renaissance” in Philadelphia would be where to begin. Since this is where I reside, some of what I post comes from what I experience here. However, there is a larger majority of societal problems that I see outside of Philadelphia from media sources. This only backs the overwhelming proof that the entire nation is seeing the last of what once was known as “societal structure” being completely demolished. Philadelphia is an ideal place to begin due to the fact that is a major city that is known across the nation for its unruly sports fans, horrific (and often classless) media coverage, unkept maintenance on properties and roadways, and very “unwelcoming” hosts to those outside the Tri-State area. If these things were to change, which I believe they can, this city can be a model for others to follow. Nevertheless, this site aims to help all those that have the same interest in making society better. Therefore, we should be welcoming and assist one another by providing solutions for those that share the same passion.
How do we accomplish changing what’s wrong is to simply pay close attention to the trends and “iconic” figures that we seem to adore, admire, and imitate. This site is dedicated to revealing (or exposing) some of the those things, and those individuals that care only for what they are able to gain from popularity and wealth. The objective is not to assassinate our enemy’s character, or simply critique their errors and pass judgement. Making clear that they are now enemies to the society at large for their is key. Then, we address their wrong doings and try not to repeat the ill acts of the individual should be priority number one. This is not an attack on the wealthy and famous, but rather those at fault for promoting unhealthy attitudes, behaviors, and mindset that corrupts society. There will be those that refuse to change, and those who are waiting for leaders to do it for them. My philosophy and message is simple. If you witness an act of corruption, repulsive act or deed, lack of respect for authority or personal property, please speak on it (if possible). If that does not seem like an option, then have the courage to hate these acts within your heart. And if someone looks at you seeking approval for an ill act or disrespect, acknowledge them with either a look of disgust/disdain, or help that person whose rights of humanity was taken. But please avoid physical confrontation if that is optional.
Lastly, denounce the adoration, admiration, and recognition of the “celebrity athletes” and “entertainers”. Some only promote their ignorance, arrogance, and pride when we offer our approval by paying for their talents (as a service) with our wealth directly, or indirectly through their media ties and sponsorships/endorsements (knowingly and unknowingly). This is perhaps the most difficult due to the fact we do not want to sacrifice our get away from reality, or to fulfill our desires by living their lives. We also assume the roles that they play through “reality tv” and by connecting with them/ to them through social media. It is also the young (children, teens) that are the most difficult to turn away from the ill acts of the “celebrity athlete” and “entertainer”. Families need to act (and react) as families by rebuilding the infrastructures to their communities. This is possible if we commit to living and promoting healthy family lifestyles (i.e. marriage instead of years upon years of courtship, embracing “adulthood” and its rewards, promote learning and interest that are directly or indirectly related to school subjects, investing in education, studying economics and foreign policies, standing for the principles that benefit the many instead of the few, and charity). Far too often we are wrapped into the “values” and interest of politicians, lawmakers, and “entertainers”. This does very little if any good, because it serves more as a distraction that diverts our attention and focus away from solutions. Hopefully we can avoid these many distractions once we are clear about they are, who they are, from where they attack, and how can we counter attack and be victorious.
I hope that I have answered your questions. If not, please let me know. If you have any suggestions, recommendations, or solutions you’d like to offer please do so… often.
